    i'm the absolute same way with jeans... i wear the same pair to death. thank goodness patching/distressed denim is "in" now haha!

    i'm POSITIVE you have the talent to DIY! just start with some studding or appliques... if i can do it, you certainly can!

    Suspenders are a tricky thing... I agree that not everyone can pull them off, but when they do it's a terrific look. Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra... sigh... why can't more emulate their look...
