That Sly Come Hither Stare

I NEED $800 so I can get these (as you can see, I had my bank statement open in the other tab - I checked!). Unfortunately, I think my landlord would be a little upset if I didn't pay my April rent, though. So I guess I NEED to find a cheaper version of those boots. And maybe save up for the jacket because it's fuckin perfect.

Find Me In My Field Of Grass

I'm not really going out of my way to follow NYFW, or any fashion week this season for that matter. But sometimes I just come across something I can't NOT post. This is one of them - I love the color palette particularly:

This and Proenza Schouler have made my very happy.

My jacket search/lusting after Rick Owens has become a full time job. I think I have a contender, though. I'll keep you posted.

Stomach As Much As Fast As We Are Able

Happy Thanksgiving!
At this point, I'm really just using the pie as a vehicle for whipped cream.

In other news, dug up an old picture: this outfit of MK is one of my favorite outfits of all time, mostly because those shoes are dopplegangers of my FAVORITE pair of heels. Anyway, rad outfit. I love everything about it and it is certainly one of my top cold weather outfit inspirations, although personally, I need a better leather jacket since my H&M one hasn't been cutting it these days...

Got To Get You Into My Life

I just watched this:

It made me decide I need this:

Too bad even if I DID have $2700, I would definitely NOT be spending it all on a jacket seeing as I share a car with my brother. Jeez Rick Owens WHYYYY?

*(Maybe I'm mean, but I found Miss Diamond a little trite - ie Andy Warhol, having to attest that she actually listens to the bands she wears the shirts of, her silly French tattoo, but wicked style for sure, and I guess that's the point. It just concerns me a little when really young girls look at not the most well rounded individuals as "icons." Maybe I'm totally off though, and who am I to judge? Anyway, sorry for the tangent.)

*EDIT*

OK, this Kill City one is pretty good, too. But I still shouldn't spend $315 on myself when there are Christmas presents to be bought!

Ready Boots? Start Walkin'!

Breaking news! This just in:

I found these on eBay. They're Charles David, but better yet, they are only $35. Granted, they aren't perfect, but they do have a thicker stacked heel, which I like. The silhouette of the toe looks good and I was looking for a good buckle or zipper detail. I might buy them and DIY-tweak them a little bit (maybe chains or a new buckle or a peep toe or something) to make them look a little fresher. It's probably best if I only pay around $40, though, because I get shoe ADHD and chances are I won't end up wearing a pair of $200 ankle boots enough times to make the purchase very worthwhile.

My Bloody Valentine

Remember Emily Valentine form Beverly Hills: 90210? She looked like such a badass, but really she had depression and a drug/rave problem or something and ended up in a psych ward? Well, I don't really have a point with all of this, except for the fact that she had some cool clothes. Tried to emulate the striped shirt/jeans/leather jacket thing, but I don't think it works unless you have that hair - and I am DEFINITELY not that ballsy. :)

QUEEN OF HARTS

[Warning: photo overload to follow!] I am OBSESSED with Horehound from the Dead Weather right now. It is giving me faith in the music industry in the midst of douchebags currently dominating the Top 40s, radio, etc. Also horrified to discover that my beloved KRTH 101.1 has been playing Madonna and the Eurythmics! (This is an oldies station. what the crap?)

The Dead Weather is Jack White, Alison Mosshart, Dean Fertita (QotSA), and Jack Lawrence (Raconteurs). You probably are already familiar with Alison Mosshart from the Kills, but I must emphasize her awesomeness. She's my own personal Erin Wasson of the moment. She's making want to go out and die my hair black and trade in all my clothes for LEATHAAA!

DON'T SMOKE KIDS! :)

Also, if you haven't seen this yet, you really should. And if you've already seen it, watch it again!
