Just Like The White Winged Dove

So there's definitely a reason why everyone has been posting the Marloes Horst Jalouse February 2011 shoot - it's genius. These first couple shots especially feel so authentically vintage to me - really great stuff here.

How Can You Have Any Pudding If You Don't Eat Your Meat?!

Photobucket

Just sort of obsessed with the Jeffrey Campbell Daisy D wedge. I can't decide what color I want, but I'm leaning toward this cheetah.

Show Your Teeth To Everyone

This time of year always makes me very conflicted, fashion-wise. It's summer. It's 90 degrees and I'm melting most of the time. I have to walk to class, and anything other than cutoffs and a tank top is simply impractical. BUT my closet is full of new fall purchases that I am dying to wear. With this confusion in mind, here are a couple outfits I've found inspiring lately:

Warm weather. Minus the jacket, even though the jacket is my favorite part and I've been looking for a good blazer.

Cool weather. Badass. And I might die if I don't get those shoes.

Dolce Vita on NastyGal. A little stripperella, a little Dolce & Gabbana. A lot of awesome.

Don't Stop Believin'

Now this is what I was waiting for. I was hoping for suede, but ponyhair certainly works.

"I Ain't Never Coming Back!"

Photobucket

This is the Jeffrey Campbell Pixie wedge. Chances are you saw it on every single other blog yesterday saying it was available on Solestruck for about $195.

I did a little research and found it on Need Supply for $135.

Apparently Need Supply caught on to the random spike in Pixie wedge hype, because this morning the price had been raised to $172. Definitely a d'oh moment on my part. (It's also on Nasty Gal for $178, if you're interested or Need Supply doesn't have your size). I think this means it wasn't fated to be, considering I still have Christmas gifts to buy. I'm thinking Minnetonka boots will be my next shoe purchase, though. I need a little break from my almost entirely black wardrobe.

A Love That Should Have Lasted Years

Photobucket

Oh, and did I mention that these are perfect? Top of my Christmas list - Illex Kinni's the Dancer, via Bonadrag.

Although, they say they fit true to size, but only whole sizes. My size in 6.5. Therefore, these can't be true to MY size. Better too big than too small, though: I'll go with a 7, I suppose.

Next - Stilts.

They're not perfect, but they were reduced from like $150 to $40, so how could I not?

Make My Rainy Day

I'm dying for a good pair of wedges right about now.

fashiontoast.blogspot.com

Rumi posted these, and I'm really digging the Office ones on the far right, even though they aren't normally my thing. And my layout is totally going to cut this picture off in the middle of that pair, but I'll fix it later.

Here's a really blurry screen capture of the shoes from their site that I tried to fix up a little bit to show the detail a little better...

Also loving the Cynthia Vincent Luellas, either color.

AND the boots I wanted went on sale.

But, really, what I want are Jane's Givenchy wedges... because, "I'm like a really gothic person. rlyseriously."

Really, though, they're a little tacky sadomasochistic in the best way possible and I want them.
