I Am The Face, She Has To Know Me

I just made my first Polyvore set (not that I need another way to waste time). Still kind of figuring out how it works, but this one was inspired by a) my obsession with those Alexander Wang shoes and b) the fact that I just bought a vintage tartan plaid cape on eBay.

How Can You Have Any Pudding If You Don't Eat Your Meat?!

Photobucket

Just sort of obsessed with the Jeffrey Campbell Daisy D wedge. I can't decide what color I want, but I'm leaning toward this cheetah.

I Want To See You Dance Again

Photobucket

People keep hating on the Dolce Vita x Target collaboration, but I'm really digging this pair. I think I must buy them. The issue is now studded vs. not studded. (Knowing me, studded will probably win).

Dolce Vita on NastyGal. A little stripperella, a little Dolce & Gabbana. A lot of awesome.

A Pair of Dull Scissors and the Yellow Light

Photobucket

I got this dress on eBay for a STEAL from sistersoftheblackmoon. They sell great stuff, you should check out their store! Amazing vintage, although mostly in smaller sizes. I can't wait until my dress gets here. Especially since it might be an excuse to go shoe shopping.

They also have an awesome website & tumblrs, here.

Take It To The Limit

Photobucket

Not gonna lie, I find Ke$ha extremely entertaining/bizarre/interesting/weird/annoying/intriguing. But, really, that's not my point... I NEED THESE SHOES.

Don't Stop Believin'

Now this is what I was waiting for. I was hoping for suede, but ponyhair certainly works.

My jacket search/lusting after Rick Owens has become a full time job. I think I have a contender, though. I'll keep you posted.

Colliding With The Very Air She Breathes

Whenever I have no money, all I want to do is shop. Ugh.

If these weren't so overpriced/I worked a better paying job & wasn't a student, I totally love the first pair (both from 5th Avenue Shoe Repair)

Honey, Honey, Up In The Trees

Photobucket

I woke up early to finish getting some stocking stuffers and toys for my sister at Target - convenient excuse, right?

I tried on pretty much everything from the Rodarte for Target line (other than the shorts and skirts which had no hanger appeal for me). I thought the nude tulle/slip dress might be cute if I cut the bows off, but the fit on it was absolutely horrifying. Not only did it make me look about 30 pounds heavier in every size I tried (XS, S, M), but it made my boobs look nightmarish - unacceptable! I haven't had much luck with fitting on the Go International! lines except for the Paul & Joe one a few years back. I ended up getting the mustard lace sweater pictured above, though. It was nicer in person that I expected. I liked the nude one, but I thought the color washed me out a bit. The grey cardigan/scarf combo was soft and comfy, but not worth almost $50, in my opinion. The bathing suits looked potentially cute, too, but it was too cold for me to be in the mood to try on bikinis.

But, Merry Christmas to me! :)

Did anyone else get Rodarte things today?

This is the Jeffrey Campbell Pixie wedge. Chances are you saw it on every single other blog yesterday saying it was available on Solestruck for about $195.

I did a little research and found it on Need Supply for $135.

Apparently Need Supply caught on to the random spike in Pixie wedge hype, because this morning the price had been raised to $172. Definitely a d'oh moment on my part. (It's also on Nasty Gal for $178, if you're interested or Need Supply doesn't have your size). I think this means it wasn't fated to be, considering I still have Christmas gifts to buy. I'm thinking Minnetonka boots will be my next shoe purchase, though. I need a little break from my almost entirely black wardrobe.

When I come home for winter break, I will be on a mission to find me a good pair of A. Wang/Rocky Horror Picture Show -inspired thrift store sunglasses. It will be EPIC.

A Love That Should Have Lasted Years

Photobucket

Oh, and did I mention that these are perfect? Top of my Christmas list - Illex Kinni's the Dancer, via Bonadrag.

Although, they say they fit true to size, but only whole sizes. My size in 6.5. Therefore, these can't be true to MY size. Better too big than too small, though: I'll go with a 7, I suppose.

Got To Get You Into My Life

I just watched this:

It made me decide I need this:

Too bad even if I DID have $2700, I would definitely NOT be spending it all on a jacket seeing as I share a car with my brother. Jeez Rick Owens WHYYYY?

*(Maybe I'm mean, but I found Miss Diamond a little trite - ie Andy Warhol, having to attest that she actually listens to the bands she wears the shirts of, her silly French tattoo, but wicked style for sure, and I guess that's the point. It just concerns me a little when really young girls look at not the most well rounded individuals as "icons." Maybe I'm totally off though, and who am I to judge? Anyway, sorry for the tangent.)

*EDIT*

Photobucket

OK, this Kill City one is pretty good, too. But I still shouldn't spend $315 on myself when there are Christmas presents to be bought!

I would kill for a good pair of high-waisted 70s style bellbottoms, Dazed and Confused status.

Bonadrag v. Etsy Jewelry Showdown

Granted, you can usually tell the difference between $300 craftsmanship and $30 craftsmanship if you look hard enough, but Etsy is a great option for budget friendly trendier items.

Photobucket

Pamela Love Talon Cuff - $920-$1150 (seriously!?)

Photobucket

mrd74's Talon Cuff on Etsy - $46.95

Photobucket

Pamela Love Crow Necklace - $575 (apparently enough people can afford this for it to be out of stock)
