From Morning 'Til The End Of The Day

I highly recommend you watch this video...
This is Sophie Conti. She is basically a kook with amazing style and I kind of want to be her when I "grow up."

When I come home for winter break, I will be on a mission to find me a good pair of A. Wang/Rocky Horror Picture Show -inspired thrift store sunglasses. It will be EPIC.

Stomach As Much As Fast As We Are Able

Happy Thanksgiving!
At this point, I'm really just using the pie as a vehicle for whipped cream.

In other news, dug up an old picture: this outfit of MK is one of my favorite outfits of all time, mostly because those shoes are dopplegangers of my FAVORITE pair of heels. Anyway, rad outfit. I love everything about it and it is certainly one of my top cold weather outfit inspirations, although personally, I need a better leather jacket since my H&M one hasn't been cutting it these days...

Got To Get You Into My Life

I just watched this:

It made me decide I need this:

Photobucket

Too bad even if I DID have $2700, I would definitely NOT be spending it all on a jacket seeing as I share a car with my brother. Jeez Rick Owens WHYYYY?

*(Maybe I'm mean, but I found Miss Diamond a little trite - ie Andy Warhol, having to attest that she actually listens to the bands she wears the shirts of, her silly French tattoo, but wicked style for sure, and I guess that's the point. It just concerns me a little when really young girls look at not the most well rounded individuals as "icons." Maybe I'm totally off though, and who am I to judge? Anyway, sorry for the tangent.)

*EDIT*

Photobucket

OK, this Kill City one is pretty good, too. But I still shouldn't spend $315 on myself when there are Christmas presents to be bought!

Margherita Missoni

I would kill for a good pair of high-waisted 70s style bellbottoms, Dazed and Confused status.

Black Cards, Black Cars, All Black Everything

So a while back I discovered Jinx Dawson of the band Coven, aka "The Goth Queen." Although her music isn't really my style, I'm really drawn to her style. I'm pretty sure I have every picture of her ever taken saved to my computer right now, so consider this the first of several installments of style-inspiration shots of Jinx Dawson.

Photobucket

This is the first picture of her I ever saw. It's a cropped bit of one of Coven's album covers, I believe. I'm sure you can see why it caught my attention! It's stunning, but at the same time, I always thought she looks like (a very stylish) floating corpse here. Love her hair, love the necklace.

I just got through reading Ms. Slick's memoir (Somebody to Love) a few months ago. What a character, she's absolutely hilarious! She kept talking about how she always felt inferior to blonde chicks in the 60s, but clearly she's gorgeous. I kind of want my hair to look like this now...
