On Her Lawn Spun And Alone

As soon as I saw this Tim Burton photoshoot by Tim Walker online I had to run out and buy the October issue of Harper's Bazaar to see it in person. It is so macabre and dark and crazy and I absolutely love everything about it! Really amazing stuff.

(photo overload ahead)

Octopus' Garden

I painted this little guy the other day. I thought tentacles would be fun to do (yes, I know there are nine instead of eight - I like odd numbers), and I gave him a little Hindu flair since he was reminding me of Vishnu's four arms. Then I doodled henna patterns all around the edges of the "frame" thingy I painted. Don't know where to put him though! Maybe Etsy?

edit: I tried some better (read: not Mac Photobooth) pictures, but my camera is just awful. And I couldn't use flash, but I did my best! :)

Bloodletting

Let it be known throughout the lands that I positively lurve to knit. So, naturally, I googled "avant garde knitting patterns" one day (I believe), and came up with this: It is a scarf knit with surgical tubing, which is then attached to the wearer. The persons blood pumps throughout the scarf, giving it its color. This is possibly the strangest, most disturbing, and absolutely, if you will, "bitchin'-est" thing I have ever seen in my life. Brought to you by mixed media artist Laura Splan. Definitely worth checking out her other projects if you like this kind of thing (ie if you are as morbid as I am).

Banksy vs. Bristol Museum

Awesome, as usual
